It may seem like we don’t have much for events going on at the tasting room this month, but trust me, there’s still plenty going on! You can come see us at Toast Nebraska at Mahoney State Park on Friday May 6 & Saturday May 7, or visit us at the Kearney Wine & Jazz Festival at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds on Friday May 20 & Saturday May 21. Both events are sure to be a great time, as always, and that’s just the start of festival season!
We also have been busy watching our vines come to life for spring - leaves have unfurled, and we hope the cold weather will stay away now! The rain has been a great help, and all our fruit bushes and plants have been blooming and coming out of dormancy, as well. The views right now off the deck are absolutely stunning!
And, in the winery, we have been very busy! We’ll be bottling rhubarb tomorrow, so it will be back on the shelves in our outlets soon, and available in the tasting room this weekend. Cherry wine is happily awaiting it’s next racking and it promises to be absolutely delicious this time around! And yesterday, we pressed 600 pounds of rhubarb & raspberries, netting us 103 gallons of Razzle Dazzle that went into the tank. We’ll soon be starting several more of our fruit wines that will hopefully be finished in time for grape harvest!
We have switched back to our summer hours of 1-9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, along with 1-6 pm on Sundays, and soon, I will have the summer events calendar completed and posted, so stay tuned and get ready for a fantastic summer at Cedar Hills!
